There are 3 types of hair ties in my experience. The bad once with barely any elastane that breaks the hair. The soft fluffy once that can be used for almost a year. These ones here fall somewhere in the middle. They are soft and gentle for my daughter's hair but the are not the thickest. Using them for my kids daycare which this is perfect for.
