Both the pan and the rack are very well built with nice finish and ample heft to stand up to heavy use and long service. I purchased these to barbecue a whole chicken with my 2 burner propane grill. The pan provides even indirect heat and catches the chicken drippings.
Preheat the grill. When hot! Turn off the front burner.
Place pan on the front burner under the grill. Fill pan with water.
Place chicken on the grill above the pan.
Only the rear burner is left on.
After about an hour (at 350 degrees f) it is done when the internal temperature is 165 degrees f.
Remove from grill, cover with foil or a cloth, and let it rest for 10 minutes out of harms way. Don't cut into it yet.
It will keep cooking a bit, and also bring out the juice and flavor. Easy cooking, succulent chicken, easy cleanup.
